Forklift Driver

If you are an enthusiastic team player with a proven track record and current licence in forklift counterbalance driving we are keen to hear from you. The ideal candidate would become part of a team responsible for goods in, goods out, quality assurance, general housekeeping and maintaining a drive on production throughput. The candidate must have experience working in an outside yard environment with articulated vehicles, manual handling and knowledge of workplace safety.

Granulation Operative

Plasgran are always keen to hear from experienced granulator operators who have worked in the plastic recycling industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in recognising different plastic types, understanding and engaging in quality control, excellent housekeeping skills, knowledge of conveying systems, shredding and granulating machinery plus a positive attitude to hard work and pushing working limits of their equipment to safely and effectively increase production levels.

Compounding Line Operative

Plasgran are always on the look out for experienced compounder operators who have worked on extrusion lines forming plastics to specific grades in all polymer types, be that as a recycled pellet or a finished product. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and knowledge in the operation of compounding lines, recognise and work to specific quality requirements, understand what and how to test for material characteristics plus have the desire to continuously improve the quality in all material types

Quality Controller

The job of a Plasgran Quality Controller is a focused position to ensure that all products manufactured within the organization are fit for purpose and meets the customers’ expectations. The QC’s develop and coordinate special activities and programs necessary to meet and maintain quality standards and reliability of manufactured products. They document the products test results and provide suitable suggestions to attain the best quality possible.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understanding Plasgran Ltd’s product specifications and ensuring they meet with customer requirements
  • Knowledge of plastics, their compatibilities, and applications
  • Understanding, evaluating, and executing various tests and procedures properly to prevent quality failures
  • Defining quality measures in conjunction with working staff
  • Setting up and maintaining documentation for customer and archive purpose

Skills and Specifications

  • Punctual
  • Able to work with a team/ independently
  • Able to motivate and influence people
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Good communication skills
  • Intuitive and quick/ confident decision maker
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills
  • Understand basic computer knowledge (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel etc.)

Education and Qualifications

  • Preference of A level education in one of the sciences (this would demonstrate the learning capability to suit the role)
  • Laboratory working background is desirable
